Heart n Soul on Film

Over the past few years, Heart n Soul has worked with some very talented artists creating original films.

Heart n Soul artist Dele Fakoya worked with director Tom Hadley from creative and digital agency Knifedge to produce Desmond, a film based on Dele's book of the same name. The film tells the story of Dele’s alter-ego, a 21st century Robo-man called Desmond who comes to the rescue of a man suffering an epileptic fit at a nightclub.

** Please note – the film contains some jumpy moments and might not be suitable for those aged 6 and under **

Together with Cor Films and Knifedge Production Company we made Twinkletoes. The story is centred around one of our artists Geraldine Tracey and her life with her novelty cat Twinkletoes.

The film won the First Person Narrative Award at the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival in 2010.

Celebrity Shotgun

This was Heart n Soul's first feature film made in 2007. It was directed by Mat Fraser, who created the plot and script with our artists.

Celebrity Shotgun tells the story of cheating husband Tom Harry's final fate at the hands of the two women in his life – his wife and his new secretary. With dream sequences and fantasy sections, bum pinching and a drunken taxi moment, this tale is EastEnders meets Reservoir Dogs.

It features Pino Frumiento, Lizzie Emeh, Winston Green and Hannah Marvelly who play the main roles.

The film was featured in many film festivals around the world.
