In memory
Mark Burgess, Vice Chair
Mark was Vice Chair of the Heart n Soul board until he passed away in Sept 2022. He was part of Heart n Soul for over 30 years and is much missed.
He started out as a student on our first training scheme and went on to be involved in the development of many parts of the organisation. These included touring as part of the Positive Hearts performance company, co-leading activities and being part of the staff team.
Mark was involved at the very beginning of the Beautiful Octopus Club and was compere and host of the open mic slot for many years.
Kindness, love and community were really important to Mark, he felt we should always look out for others. He truly cared about everyone at Heart n Soul and was an integral part of our community.
